Child and Youth Program at Family Life Services
The purpose of the Child and Youth Program at FLS is to provide the resident children with a safe environment to heal from past abuse. This is accomplished through individual and group counseling, a mentoring program, and monthly activities scheduled to strengthen family relationships and encourage the young residents.
Our current needs:
- Men and women willing to volunteer one hour per week to mentor a young person.
- Financial support to better equip our playing areas.
- Ticket donations to area attractions, museums, etc.
- A large van to enable group transportation.
While FLS is primarily dedicated to helping the current residents, we have a desire to reach out to and help children and youth in the community that are caught in abuse. Whether it’s talking to a licensed counselor or just a safe, friendly person willing to listen, we desire to come alongside the hurting and struggling children and youth in Colorado Springs, showing them that they are not forgotten or alone.
